In Monday’s Herald, the gentleman who wrote “Biased reading of tea party poll” says that 53 percent of those responding favor the tea party.
In the poll that the writer is referring to, it is true that the results showed 47 percent of U.S. citizens have an unfavorable view of the tea party. That same poll shows only 32 percent of citizens have a favorable view of the tea party, while 46 percent have a favorable view of the Democratic Party and 44 percent have a favorable view of the Republican Party.
This is not a biased reading of the poll, just the actual results.
