Enough from the teachers union, protesting the need for an increase in pay. Simply drive through the teachers’ parking lot, look at the cars, and you will understand a pay increase isn’t needed. Please stop saying school districts will loose good teachers to other districts that pay more. Teachers have always followed the money trail. That’s why new teachers arrive each new year.
The Snohomish school district had the first “half-day,” the very first Friday back. Say what?
With that schedule, does any union member deserve more money? We all know, some teachers abuse the schedule to fit their own need or wants.
More unpleasant truth: Not all teachers are good teachers. But all teachers will get more pay. It’s a case of give or take by each union member. How about pay being based on a merit system? (The union rep just walked out of the room).
