I am seeing more and more that the governor and state Legislature has no concept of budgeting or knowledge of good accounting practices. The majority of bills in the Legislature are for taxing. They have no concern for the taxpayer except as a “cash cow.”
We citizens must manage our budgets and work within our income. A young person entering the job market place, a young couple with a child or two, a middle-aged couple and those who have retired must live within their means or go into debt. Debt creates divisions within the family and the state. Debt often destroys it.
Washington states has the same problem. There is a surplus of money going into the state’s coffers but the legislators want more. The state is in debt but can’t or won’t reduce its spending and continues to pile on more taxes and debt.
An income tax, more gas taxes, tolls on roads we already paid for, new and modified excise and levies and fees on individuals, goods and services and properties are now being proposed in Olympia.
When will the people in large liberal cites and counties finally reach the tipping point and vote the very people who promise them utopia yet refuse to tell you how they are doing it? The Democratic Party has moved so far left it can’t be your friend any more, and the Republicans can’t be blamed for this mess.
Please call or write your state legislator at 800-652-6000, and please, be respectful.
