Term limits the first place to start

Five steps to turn the country around:

1. Term limits for both houses. Career politicians owe their existence to special interests.

2. Line item veto. Reduce pork and add-ons in legislative bills.

3. Balanced budget amendment. Spend within our income.

4. Tort reform. Loser pays and limit lawyers’ fees on class-action lawsuits. This would reduce the number of frivolous claims.

5. Force legislators to fall under the same laws and programs (Social Security and Medicare) that we fall under. Then they would feel our pain and do something about it. Our legislators have put themselves into a privileged class and above the law.
