On April 30 we experienced a life-changing event when my husband, Les, fell off a roof and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He sustained serious injuries to his pelvis, face and arm, and spent two weeks in recovery in the hospital and a total of nearly two months without income for our family.
His quick recovery was no less than miraculous, but these miracles came about with a lot of thoughts, prayers, service and monetary donations from those in Lake Stevens, Everett and in many other areas.
The Adams family would like to thank the Lake Stevens Second Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Skyline Elementary, Community Health Plan of Washington, Regents Blue Shield Boeing Division and countless other friends and family who have assisted us during this very difficult time. We especially would like to thank the Mark Call family for opening their home to us so we could have a wheelchair accessible place to live during Les’s recovery.
It is with great fondness that we leave Lake Stevens this month due to a change of employment and move to the Skagit Valley. We have counted ourselves blessed to have been a part of such a great community for six years.
