Thank you for writing the moving tribute to my husband, Barry Knott, who recently lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. (“Barry Knott remembered as ‘warm, giving guy’” by David Krueger.) The tremendous outpouring of respect and support from the wrestling community, along with students he taught over the years, was heartwarming.
Barry was also well known in the music community — many quartet members came to visit him and sing their farewells in his final days. Thank you to the Northwest Sound Men’s Chorus for their heartfelt music at Barry’s funeral and celebration of life. Also, the staff of Providence Hospital is appreciated for the dignified care they provided both Barry and our family during his final days. So many people, from so many areas of Barry’s life have taken the time to show their love, support, and respect. On behalf of his family, thank you for helping the legend of Barry Knott the coach, teacher, musician, father, husband, and friend live on.
