Thank you for reporting on DUI

Kudos to The Herald for its reporting of the DUI arrest of Lake Stevens City Councilwoman Suzanne Quigley. (June 2 article, “Lake Stevens official faces DUI charge.”)

Unfortunately, your non-biased reporting of the news has not encouraged others. There have been no reports in other newspapers of Ms. Quigley’s arrest since it occurred in March.

However, in a letter to the editor, the Lake Stevens Journal did publish a glowing endorsement of Ms. Quigley by state Sen. Steve Hobbs, an endorsement that failed to note why such support of Ms. Quigley needed to be voiced at this particular time.
