I am writing this letter to publicly thank Safeway in Snohomish. They allowed my daughter and I to have a “pet food” drive in front or their store last week. It is also to thank the wonderful people of Snohomish for contributing nearly 300 pounds of pet food to the Snohomish Food Bank.
One of the reasons that we chose to collect pet food was the fact that people tend forget that pets are in need as well as humans. We also wanted to remind everyone that the food bank isn’t necessarily just for people. We also hope that people will think others needs in the months ahead. Please remember that non-food items that we take for granted daily are needed greatly by the less fortunate. For instance: soap, shampoo, toilet paper, deodorant and other personal products.
Thank you again to Safeway and Snohomish, and we hope you and your pets have a great holiday season.
