In response to the Sept. 14 letter titled “Can President Bush step up to challenge?”
Thank God for President Bush and his compassion for this country and its people. Never have I seen a leader be more open with his feelings and emotions when addressing a crisis situation. Some may call this unprofessional or weak, but I call it refreshing.
No, George W. Bush is not the most eloquent speaker in the world, but what he did say had so much compassion behind it, that it left me crying the tears for him that he was so desperately trying to fight off. We don’t have to wonder if he cares about what’s happening in our country, it’s obvious to anyone watching him that he cares deeply. The only words President Bush says that are of any importance are those that come from his lips as he his on his knees in prayer.
Thank God that we finally have a leader that is more concerned about the reality of the situation and the needs of the people, than he is in what his critics say. Thank God for George W. Bush – a breath of fresh air in an unclear world.
