A lot of money is spent on this inane argument over the monument. What a waste. It could and should be spent someplace like the food bank.
To post the commandments in public places and schools is totally unnecessary. If a child doesn’t know right from wrong by the time they can read, blame the parents.
Many other countries seem to have fewer problems. In Japan, most of the people have never heard of the Ten Commandments. The crime and violence there is a tiny fraction of what it is here. Everyone likes the peaceful New Zealanders, yet there is very little religion there.
The logical thing to do is bring the monument back to the Eagles Club. Thank them for the noble thought, but it didn’t work.
