Puget Sound Honor Flight is asking any veterans that wish to go to Washington, D.C., to see the memorials there to contact them at pugetsoundhonorflight.org. It is totally free to veterans.
I just returned from a flight on April 24. They treat veterans like royalty. There were 55 Korean War vets, all of us in our 80s, and we were in awe at the reception we received at each destination. It is very humbling to be received and treated so well.
It is the first time I ever traveled anywhere that I never spent one cent.
Thank you Honor Flight and Alaska Airlines for a very rewarding and memorial three days and my son, Kurt, for being my chaperone. He had to pay his own way. What a son!
