Thanks to agency for spearheading law

I would like to say thank you to the American Cancer Society for its leadership in the enactment of the Clean Indoor Air Law, in Washington state and nationally.

It is wonderful to be able to go out to a restaurant and not have to inhale other people’s smoke. It is also great news, despite what naysayers had previously espoused, that business revenues have increased after the law’s enactment.

Hopefully, the message will be firmly entrenched that it is possible for businesses to still profit while protecting their patron’s health. If so the people who are trying to find loopholes in the smoke free law will find their attempts futile.
