On one of the most beautiful summer days in Everett, Aug. 20, the Brett Jensen Memorial Fun Walk and Run was held at Legion Memorial Park in north Everett. Over 300 participants gathered to remember Brett and to help raise funds in order to continue giving scholarships.
These scholarships are awarded through Cascade High School and the downtown Everett Rotary Club to deserving local area seniors. In eight years, over $70,000 has been awarded to these seniors to assist them in their efforts to continue their education at a community college, technical college, or four-year university.
We would like to publicly thank all of the participants, the run/walk committee, the business and individual donors, the Everett Parks and Recreation Department, the Everett Police Department, the city of Everett, and the Alverson and Grand neighborhoods for helping make this event such a huge success.
Please visit our website at www.brettjensen.wordpress.com to view pictures of Brett’s Walk and Run, to learn more about the scholarship program, and much more.
Thanks again for all of your love and support.
