Thanks to all of you who voted for Proposition 1, the levy supporting Valley General Hospital, to keep our full-service hospital at full strength. Your commitment to community is both selfless and visionary.
I ran the campaign phone bank. Eric Jensen, new CEO of Valley General, spent more time than almost anyone else making calls to identify and remind voters. As new CEO he has a lot on his plate, yet he frequently took time after work and on weekends to do the hard work of sitting for hours and making calls.
This kind of leadership bodes well for VGH and, combined with the vote, bodes well for many different kinds of our community’s “health.”
