The city of Marysville was proud to play a part in welcoming home the USS Ingraham, the city’s adopted ship, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
We would especially like to thank the following for helping the city fill gift bags for single sailors aboard the Ingraham, and for giving them the heroes’ welcome they truly deserve: Marysville Kiwanis Club, Regal Entertainment Group, Party City, Verizon, Costco, the Navy League, Friends of the Marysville/Sno-Isle Regional Library, Operation Marysville Community Christmas and Marysville City Council member Carmen Rasmussen.
Thank you, business and civic leaders in the community, for stepping up and helping us make the 2006 USS Ingraham homecoming an extra special one for the officers and crew members who put themselves in harm’s way to defend our freedom, and the families they leave behind.
