I want to take the opportunity to thank the citizens of Snohomish County for their support and for the opportunity to serve them over the last two decades: whether working as a deputy county prosecutor, a city attorney, sitting on a local utility commission board, or during 12 years on the Superior Court. In the recent Court of Appeals election, I once again had the pleasure of both making new friends and renewing old friendships.
Having won and lost elections during the last 21 years, I will admit that winning is far more fun. However, having lost this latest election in no way diminishes my gratitude to the many thousands of citizens who supported our efforts with time, resources, and, of course, their votes.
I want to thank my family for their unfailing love and encouragement. We have certainly had our ups and downs, but they have always been there for me and I love them all for it. My four wonderful children and my delightful granddaughter are the crowning feature of my life and I look forward to witnessing the contribution that they will make to the future of this community. Once again, my thanks to the people of Snohomish County. God bless you all.
