Thanks to council, others for support

This letter is to thank several people for their support over the last week. First of all, I was honored by County Executive Bob Drewel to be nominated for this position, which I truly appreciate. Special thanks go to county councilmen Dave Gossett and Kirke Sievers for their support of my recommendation to the Lake Stevens Park Parks Service Area Advisory Board in two council hearings. I also wish to thank the many people who wrote letters to the newspapers and to the county council on my behalf. I am deeply moved by your kind words.

I am rather disappointed that councilman Jeff Sax did not give me the opportunity to meet with him prior to taking his position against my appointment, but the new board has my support in their quest for local parks.
