It was truly heartwarming to witness the support that the citizens of Marysville provided their neighbors in need during 2010. Because of their donations of time and resources to the Marysville Community Food Bank, more than 2,000 Marysville families received assistance. During the holiday season, the surge of help to supply food and toys was extraordinary!
A huge thank you goes out to the local fire stations, service groups, schools, churches, clubs, businesses, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Postal Service and the Tulalip Tribes. These groups, together with individual contributors, pulled together hundreds of thousands of pounds of food, thousands of toys, and much needed funds to support the community. These caring individuals and organizations donated nearly 30,000 hours of service to the Food Bank during 2010.
Finally, a special thank you is extended to the dedicated folks who walk into the Food Bank every week and offer their skills, labor, time, and heart to keep the wheels turning throughout the year. It’s through you that the Marysville Community Food Bank works its magic.
