This letter is late in coming, but I wanted to give a shout out to former Herald movie critic Robert Horton. For years I have relied on Horton’s reviews of which movies to go see. He was honest and genuine in his reviews which matched my values in what I was looking for in a movie.
There are so many poor movies out there, I appreciated someone else sitting through them to decide whether it was worth spending my money and time going to see. And if Horton said a movie was 3 to 4 stars and relatively wholesome; my wife and I were “in.”
I’m going to miss his regular reviews in The Herald. My thanks goes out to him for years of guiding all of us to the good movies!
