Thanks to love and support, he’s doing well

On Oct. 22, 2001 our son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, Jason Hunter, was shot five times outside his parents’ home in Everett. Through the power of love and prayer and the many friends and doctors that tended to and continue to care for Jason, he has recovered and is going to school and doing well.

On April 15 we held a benefit golf tournament and dinner auction at the wonderful Everett Golf and Country Club for Jason which raised over $42,000. These donations will be used for medical expenses as well as research into future medical advances that could allow Jason the ability to walk.

Many people and organizations need to be thanked for this event and praised. First, the Everett Golf and Country Club and its staff. We also want to acknowledge and thank our big sponsors, Washington Mutual and Pacific Northwest Title, Dwayne Lane Auto Centers, Milliman USA, Ferguson Construction as well as the countless others who put time, effort and donations into our event.

There are too many to thank in this letter, but we all came together for a great evening for Jason, a person who has touched our lives in many ways and continues to be a inspiration to all of us.
