The Granite Falls Historical Society would like to express great appreciation and thanks to Penny Cruger for her efforts in organizing the Christmas extravaganza in Granite Falls last weekend. It was Penny’s vision and hard work that brought the community together and resulted in the craft fair, train rides, visits from Santa, McGruff and Smoky Bear, Christmas Carolers, creative hat contest and finally, the tree lighting in front of the museum. Churches, businesses, community organizations and city officials participated to make the day a wonderful, well-attended kick-off to the holiday season. Thanks to everyone who was involved and kudos to Penny Cruger.
