I want to thank the three young sailors who talked to me in the IHOP restaurant on Sunday.
I am a World War II veteran and was wearing a WWII veteran’s hat.
The sailors asked me if I as in the Navy and I said yes. They asked if I retired from the Navy and at what rank. I told them I retired in 1962 as a CPO.
They were gracious to me and departed. When I went to the cash register to pay my bill I was told my meal was paid for. The only ones I had contact with were the three sailors. I wish to thank them and wish them the best in their Navy careers. Also, I would like to take them out to a dinner or lunch. Thanks again.
