On April 23 I went shopping at the Fred Meyer store in Marysville. After loading the groceries into the trunk of my car, I removed my keys from my purse to unlock the car door. I pushed my cart to the parking lot return station and left for home.
Upon arriving at home I realized I had left my purse in the grocery cart. I rushed back to the store, praying that by some miracle the purse would be there or that someone had turned it in to Customer Service.
To my amazement, when I arrived at the store in tears, the woman at the Customer Service desk handed me my purse. Another employee at Fred Meyer said he saw a young woman with a baby on her hip turn the purse in but that she did not leave her name.
I hope that the young lady sees this so I can thank her from the bottom of my heart for her honesty. My only way of returning her kindness is to pass along the same kindness, to “pay it forward” to someone else in need. I was praising God all the way home for His answer to my prayer through the good heart of a stranger. I will always remain grateful.
May God bless what you have done in secret, in ways that only He can.
