Thanks to young man for his good example

Recently my husband was rewarding our three children with lunch out after they had taken their play time to help him clean our church. They were each eager to help Dad get done so they could all return back to our camping lot to play.

My children ended up learning a bigger lesson then how good it feels to help Dad out. As they were in line at Jack in the Box in downtown Everett they let a car in front of them, that had been snubbed by several other drivers, go ahead of them through the drive-through.

Their Dad told them that sometimes you just have to give someone a break. Which was a good lesson after they had just seen the movie “Evan Almighty” with me a couple of weeks before and have been learning about Acts of Random Kindness. When they got to the window they were surprised to find out that the young gentleman that they let in had done his own Act of Random Kindness and paid for their lunches.

My children returned to the camping lot excited about their story and eager to tell everyone what had happened.

Thank you to the young man in the car in front of my husband and children.

Thank you for showing my children how wonderful it feels to be given an Act of Random Kindness and inspiring the discussion of what they could do for others in the coming months.
