It seems to be getting routine that whenever the Bush Administration attempts to fix something, they go about it backwards (or upside down, if you will). This time they are dabbling with the health care system. They want to protect the rich (the docs and medical institutions) by proposing a malpractice insurance subsidy, while ignoring the poor, the elderly and the chronically ill by neglecting to fix Medicare, extend Medicaid coverage or provide prescription drug assistance. Since we can’t change the administration for two more long years, I feel that it is time now to focus on this fall’s vongressional elections and give control of both houses of Congress back to the Democrats.
Let’s put our destiny back in the hands of the people. Haven’t we had enough of the bad fruit of the corporate lobbyists and their puppets making the rich richer and the poor poorer?
