My wife and I were at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Snohomish on Memorial Day. The grounds were beautiful as usual. I’ve been a trustee for the cemetery for over 20 years and we are fortunate to have Biff Reading in charge of the G.A.R. He does a wonderful job. I’ve been a member of the American Legion Post 96 for 33 years and always enjoy Memorial Day Services. What a lot of memories.
We also went out to the Machias Cemetery to visit the graves of my wife’s family — the Bailey family of Machias. Several were veterans of the Navy or Army. Thanks to Jim Young and crew for the great job developing and maintaining the cemetery.
