I live on Fiddler’s Bluff in Snohomish. We are adjacent to virtually the last unspoiled rural valley in the area. An area composed of farms, and parks, such as the Lord Hill Park and the Bob Heirman Wildlife Park (the only wildlife park in our entire county).
The natural beauty of this valley enables the pursuit and enjoyment of numerous activities – including hiking, fishing, bicycling, hot air ballooning, bird watching and skydiving – attracting tourists who spend money in town. Thousands of children and families come here each autumn to pick the perfect pumpkin or find their annual Christmas tree. This valley is precious and unspoiled. It is a welcome and much needed respite from the unsightly sprawl that continues to slowly but surely take over our surrounding communities. Our pristine valley, because of its natural beauty, is restorative to mind, body and soul.
I do not argue the fact that KRKO wants to expand their broadcasting power, but I do wholeheartedly argue the fact that they feel they have the right to defile this beautiful untarnished valley.
