It is not time to give the FBI more power. It is time for the new head of the FBI to clean out deadwood and reorganize.
The FBI has become a “good old boys” club. Shortly before President Clinton left, FBI agents picketed the White House, afraid that Native American activist Leonard Peltier might be pardoned after 25 years in prison. Leonard at 57 wants to go home to his family on the Pine Ridge reservation. Why were FBI agents spending time preventing the parole of one man when they should have been preventing nationwide terrorism?
