This is National Volunteer Week and we want to thank volunteers everywhere. You’re the best! Someone from another country once said that volunteering is unique to the United States. If true, it must be the secret to how we get things done here. We all benefit from the work of volunteers, whether it be flowers planted, legislators elected or kids being coached. Churches, libraries, senior centers, civic organizations, schools, hospitals, hospices and social services of all kinds depend on volunteers.
If you don’t volunteer now, consider making your life richer. Check the United Way Web site for ideas or call them. If you do volunteer, thank you for making our country and Snohomish County a better place to live!
