This law will cost us, not benefit us

Where are our senators and representatives enforcing federal pot laws? Please remember, Washington state law legalizing recreational pot smoking breaks federal law. Banks cannot handle illegal funds from pot sales and retain federal deposit insurance. The FDA cannot monitor quality-control for growing pot. There are no controls on fertilizer, insect sprays, dangerous species, or the amounts of dosages of pot grown in Washington state.

No federal funds will be available for law enforcement of legal pot smoking.

Also, have you added up the increased costs of pot-DUI car wrecks, health impairments to lungs and second-hand smoke to children around pot smoking? Insurance rates will double. Boeing will move all their work to a non-legal pot state like South Carolina. Do you want airplanes manufactured by pot heads, electronic equipment designed by workers high on pot smoke? How about all the apartment units damaged by the smell of pot smoking or burning down of apartment units or residential homes. Sales tax won’t even cover half the damage pot smoking will do. “Nero danced (fiddled) while Rome burned”! What will you be doing while Washington state goes up in pot smoke? Repeal the legal recreational pot smoking. The political ads lied about the benefits of the sales tax. People will grow their own pot. Who will tax that pot?
