I have watched, with great fascination and awe, the recent success of our landing of the rover on Mars, and the possibility that proof may be found that there was once life there. How exciting. Of course, never mind that our own planet is going to hell in a hand basket. Let’s explore outer space. We’ve already contaminated our beloved Earth. It is now unsafe to eat fish, beef and chicken. These are all creatures that God provided for our survival. So what? Let’s go out there and conquer the universe. Where man goes he will pollute. Of that I am certain.
The possible future colonization of other planets is intriguing, but only if they will be penal colonies.
Let’s get our own house in order before reaching for the stars. I wonder if sometime in the far away future, trillions of years from now, perhaps some God-made intelligence will send a probe to our Earth wondering, “was there ever life on the third planet from the Sun?”
