I am simply astounded. After the death of King County Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Cox, I opened my Sunday morning copy of The Herald to find no article whatsoever regarding the incident.
Monday, I finally found an article about Deputy Cox in the back pages of the local section. Apparently this story was so insignificant that the recycling issues on Camano Island (front page) took precedence over it. It was obvious that Deputy Cox had a huge impact on the area he served and was respected by many.
It’s too bad The Herald couldn’t step up and do the right thing by showing the proper respect this deputy deserved.
