Thank you, Herald and former PUD Commissioner Peter Newland, for exposing the debacle at the PUD. The three elected commissioners didn’t know about $750,000 spent on an out-of-state consultant. The manager is now on paid leave and a new consultant has been placed on the pay roll. It is time for the commissioners to resign! I also hope The Herald will publish the expense accounts of the commissioners.
Also in The Herald there was an article on the loss of state senators’ private dining room with their special French chef. Why do we need to keep electing these arrogant people to office? They do not serve the people, only themselves. In another article Alan Mulally of Boeing, stated we elect legislators and they go to Olympia and come back and ask us to do their job. This is just more of an example of the arrogance of elected people that we do not need in office.
We must insist as, Peter Newland has, that this situation change and the resignations at the PUD take place now.
