The Tuesday letter, “Sad so many want to break the law,” is absolutely spot-on in pointing out people’s fear of losing their “right” to break the law if a traffic camera is installed. This attitude is truly amazing to me.
Certainly an issue has been made over the installation of traffic cameras. But the only valid argument against the cameras is the one that says, “I don’t want a camera forcing me to drive legally.”
What is so revealing in this argument is that these same people are actually driving cars and — one can only assume, given their adamant position on traffic cameras — putting the rest of us who drive at some level of risk.
