Time to begin voting people out

What on Earth is the matter with our members of the U.S. Congress? Their every action, or better yet, their inaction on behalf of the American people borders on criminality. Their collective inability to resolve major problems confronting us is discouraging to say the least. Instead of working together for the best interests of the country they prefer to bicker and insult one another. It is no wonder the polls show the approval rating of Congress hovering around 14 percent.

With the elections right around the corner, maybe this would be the appropriate time to dredge up … term limits. Their lack of progress is reason enough to seek newcomers to the halls of Congress. In fact, there are 535 excellent reasons to clean both the House and Senate. Remember all 435 seats in the House are up for election in 2008 while only 34 Senate seats could change hands. Like they say you have to start someplace. Let’s start with this year’s election and help make Congress accountable to the people.
