Time to put aside petty disagreements

I need to start out this letter by saying I am a loyal and active Democrat. I may not have campaigned or voted for Mr. Bush, but he is my president. I support him, as do all the members of Congress.

Now is the time for all of us – Americans of all political parties, ethnicities and religions – to come together as one. That is what makes this country strong. Although we all disagree on issues, which is a healthy part of our culture, now is the time to put aside our differences as we respond to an attack against each and every one of us.

It weakens all of us if we let petty disagreements be our banner. Stand together now, America!
