In all my life, the only presidents I remember people saying nice things about are the ones who were assassinated while in office. Other than that, people have complained about, criticized, insulted, found fault with and nitpicked every single president this country has had.
Comedians make jokes and blame everything bad on the president. They rarely ever praise him for doing something right.
Is America ever going to be satisfied or happy with whom we vote into office? I think people just like to complain. Our president is really just a figurehead for people to place blame or praise on, anyway. If every successful business changed their presidents as often, their companies would crash and burn … what makes American citizens think that keeping our presidents for only four to eight years is a good idea? Just as they are getting comfortable in their job they are voted out for some new guy to start all over, cleaning up the mess the last one left, or taking credit for the accomplishments his predecessor created.
Look at England. They have had the same queen for 55 years and they adore her and support her and they would never dream of bashing her in public. Yeah, there are those few who don’t like the monarchy but the majority of comments I hear from Great Britain citizens about their queen are positive ones.
I know when our colonists wanted a new way of doing things they came up with the democratic process; people voting and being in charge of their government. Then politicians were created. There is no honor in politics; it is dishonest, deceptive, misleading, deceitful and corrupt.
It’s time for a cool change in the way we do business here in the USA. Any suggestions?
