The front page of Sunday’s Herald covered the sheriff’s race in great length. We agree with the statement, “the candidates for county sheriff all have years of experience serving the public in various positions.” However, if we examine all three candidates, who really has the most “on the job” and “hands on experience?” – Tom Greene
Tom has developed many budgets for the sheriff’s department. If you work your way up through the ranks of any police agency, when you become “an administrator” your role in police work changes. You no longer can chase down the “bad guys” and put them in jail. Part of your job is to do your best to get your officers the best tools available so they can catch the “bad guys.” That is precisely what Tom has been doing the past few years. Tom has been working with the County Council for about five years. Now that is what we call experience!
Tom Greene is an honest, hard-working police administrator. He deserves your vote.
