I’m really getting tired of hearing all the complaints about how the rich aren’t paying their fair share. Certainly there are examples of greedy rich folks out there — think Bernard Madoff — but for the vast majority of people who are well off, they worked hard for what they have and pay more than their fair share.
If you think working hard, making a good income and wanting to keep more of what you earn is greedy, then try this on for size. Forty-eight percent of all working Americans pay zero in federal taxes and a healthy chunk of this group not only pays nothing but gets freebies from the federal government. So I ask you, how greedy is it for this group to demand that the rich pay more so that they can continue to pay nothing and get more freebies?
