Regarding the Nov. 25 article titled “Mukilteo misses the boat”: The reporter for this article referred twice to “light rail” service – there is no “light rail” planned for anywhere in Snohomish County.
The reality is Sounder Commuter Rail may be serving Everett by the end of 2003. Mukilteo’s problem would be funding a station for “Sounder” service on the existing Burlington Northern Santa Fe rails. Sound Transit’s problem is funding the service to Everett. This could have been researched quite easily on Sound Transit’s Web site.
