s I reflect back on the Fourth of July holiday, I think that it must be said that the firework display in Everett was about the sorriest I have ever witnessed. For a day that is near and dear to the hearts of all Americans, you would think that they could do better than starting late and having only a ten-minute display. My family and I arrived three-and-a-half hours early to get a good spot for viewing and were very disappointed to have waited all that time for ten minutes of only marginal fireworks. The trek out of the viewing area was longer than the show, to the tune of about 45 minutes.
