So letter writer Rich Medved of Lake Stevens is a fan of the current occupant of the White House (“What’s to like about President Trump? How about this?” The Herald, Aug. 26). And he is of the opinion that President Obama “bowed down” to leaders from other countries, is he?
To me it’s a pretty sad state of affairs when somebody equates “being respectful of other people and other cultures” to “bowing down to others,” but I guess that’s where we are in our country right now with some folks. As for Mr. Medved’s contention that the current POTUS has gotten North Korea to stop testing nuclear missiles, I don’t know for sure where he gets his information from but from what I understand, his is a false statement (the likes of which the current POTUS puts out so often). Finally, Mr. Medved’s comment about the current occupant of the White House as “a president who treats all citizens fairly.” Boy, what a whopper! I don’t even know where to begin in an effort to refute that one. But I doubt I’ll get a better laugh out of another statement all day!
