In his original campaign Donald Trump bragged that he could go to Times Square and shoot someone and his supporters would still vote for him. Well, basically, that’s what happened with killing of the U.S. Capitol police officer during the storming of Congress. The vote to acquit in the impeachment trial along with the overwhelming support of Republicans he enjoys just proves he was correct.
