Trump’s aid cut will cost U.S. influence

The last time the U.S. pulled back its aid to other countries, the result was to empower China and Russia to move into the void. Both Russia and China made huge gains in their influence in developing nations. Now Trump wants to diminish our power, respect, prestige and influence in the world.

What makes Trump think it will be any different this time?

After fear-mongering for years about the dangers of socialism (government ownership of business) Trump now wants the government to “buy into TikTok.”

And what is a sovereign wealth fund?

A sovereign wealth fund is a state-owned investment fund comprised of money generated by the government, often derived from a country’s surplus reserves, providing a benefit for a country’s economy and its citizens.

Trump’s lies are more twisty and convoluted than a bowl of cooked spaghetti.
