Try a real big fine, like Tacoma has

With regard to the illegal discharge of fireworks, it certainly would be nice if our law enforcement people would decide to enforce the law – and don’t give us that business about not having enough officers to “work at it”! Maybe the City Council of Everett needs to put some teeth in the fireworks law, and get smart like the city of Tacoma – write $257 tickets. All the police would have to do is to cruise the neighborhoods: the “pickin’s are good, and the crop is not lean.”
