There is a gun show at the Monroe Fairgrounds this weekend, today and Sunday. I challenge anyone to attend that gun show and buy a weapon without going through a background check. It simply is not possible. Similarly, one can buy a gun online. But you cannot buy it without going through a background check. At some point in the transaction, you will be asked to fill out the form 4473 and submit to the necessary background check in both cases or the gun will not be transferred to you. There is simply so such thing as a gun show or online loophole.
Don’t allow yourselves to be fooled by the gun grabbers and hoplophobes, sitting safely behind the protection of their gated communities and protected by their armed security guards. The Bill Gateses, the Michael Bloombergs and others of their billionaire ilk, would strip you of your right to defend yourself and your family, while retaining all the protections that money can buy for themselves. I-594 is their vehicle for accomplishing this nefarious goal.
I-591, endorsed by all thinking law enforcement officers and organizations, is the initiative that preserves and protects the right of we, the little guys, to the same protection that they would reserve exclusively for themselves and their cronies. Don’t believe all the spurious ads in their favor that their unlimited supply of money allows them to purchase. Let them know loud and clear that your God-given right to self-defense is not for sale. Vote no on I-594 and yes on I-591.
