I’m voting for Judy Tuohy for Mayor of Everett on Aug. 1 because she is the right person for Everett’s future. I truly have to believe in a candidate before supporting that person publicly. I need to know they will represent all Everett residents. I was raised by hard-working parents who valued education and served this community throughout their lives. I know Judy has that same work ethic and drive. She will keep our city safe, vibrant, and inclusive.
Everett has challenges ahead. One hits home with my family: the opioid crisis. Our son passed away from an opioid overdose in 2012. As a mother who lost her beloved child to this epidemic, I know I can trust Judy to make prudent choices for those struggling with opioid use disorder. She knows this challenge is too big for Everett to handle on its own. I support her plan to engage neighboring communities and organizations, so the burden does not fall solely on our city.
As a lifelong Everett resident with several generations calling Everett home, I want to ensure our city is a place where young families will remain to raise their children. Everett’s generational traditions are treasured and rare. I know Judy will make Everett a place where our children and grandchildren can find good jobs, safe affordable housing, and will be proud to call it their home.
Join me in supporting Judy Tuohy as our next mayor of Everett!
