Tyler Rourke a great fit for Everett City Council

I support Everett City Council candidate Tyler Rourke.

If I searched high and low in this city for someone who most closely matches my ideologies, the closest I could come is Tyler Rourke. He bikes everywhere. He knows his way around the public library, the YMCA and the local art galleries. Tyler casually chats about complex civic policy like it’s breakfast cereal or a trip to the dentist.

Are these reasons to vote for a candidate? Definitely. You want a fella who knows his onions, policy-wise, who’s dialed into his community, who gives a flip about the environment. You want a candidate who’s actively engaged with what is going on around here.

The Rourkes live in the Glacier Peak neighborhood. That’s about as smack-dab in the center of Everett as you can get. When you get into heated issues of North Everett vs. South Everett, who’s going to be a level-headed person in that situation? Your guy, Tyler Rourke.

He represents a growing demographic in this city: young families. Our neighborhood is growing with new families. Families need places to play and feel safe, need recreational spots where they won’t find discarded needles. Tyler Rourke understands this. He’s told me so.

You’ve seen him around. He’s tall and rides his bike like he really means it, usually with a couple kids and/or a canoe in tow. How can you not like this guy?

Vote.
