Jack Russell Lowell was once asked, “How long do you think the American Republic will endure?” His answer was quick and to the point, “So long as the ideas of its founding fathers continue to be dominant.” We ask, what were the ideas of its founding fathers? Are these ideas still dominant today?
The signing of the Declaration of Independence was basically a spiritual event. You cannot understand America any other way. The American people covenanted with God. Apart from God, American history has no meaning.
In this election year we must elect people to office who will keep America focused on these ideas. America will not endure under the leadership of anti-God persons. At the polls in November we must ask ourselves, “Do these people demonstrate that they believe in God?” If not, don’t vote for them.
