The Obama administration and the media are absolutely giddy over the Iran nuclear deal, but Israel understandably is not. When Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress earlier this year, he said that any agreement should include stopping aggression against its neighbors in the Middle East, stop supporting terrorism around the world, and stop threatening to annihilate Israel. None of these issues were discussed or included in the final agreement. To add insult to injury, the U.S. at the last minute agreed to lifting the arms embargo and ban on ballistic missile technology.
How would Americans react if Canada or Mexico, who had vowed to destroy our country, had just been given a green light to continue producing nuclear weapons that could enable them to accomplish that? The agreement also made no mention of the release of four Americans now being held by Iran. It sounds like the U.S. got snookered again, big time, but what difference does it make as long as it embellishes Obama’s precious legacy. Besides that, he or John Kerry might get the Nobel Peace Prize.
